NEW FREE VIDEO - KNITTED TOY

Here's a video of how I made a toy Octopus. Except it isn't an Octopus, because I forgot to put on the eighth leg. Oh well, it was fun to make and went real fast. I used all the colors from Hayden's blanket and threw it in when I sent the gift off. In fact, I threw it in so fast I forgot to photograph it and now it's in another city.
(I'm disclosing all my forgetfulness in this post aren't I?)
I've been working on some other fun gifts and they will be showing up as videos and stills in the near future.
Don't forget to go to my Facebook page and become a fan.

MAKING TIME FOR KNITTING

Has anyone had any time for knitting in the last few days? I've been so busy shopping, cooking and cleaning up after Thanksgiving. We did something unusual this year. We made the turkey in the Bar-B-Q. It was smokey and succulent, but a lot of work. It had to be turned every 45 minutes, and the chips had to be added as they burned. I don't think I'd do it again, but glad we did it this time. This afternoon I finally sat down with knitting needles in hand and did a little work on a purse I'm making. I will try to get a new video up in the next day or so. So, the holidays are upon us. Happy Thanksgiving and Happy Knitting to all!

NEW FREE VIDEO - I CORD FLOWER

There's a new FREE VIDEO on the web-site on how to make an I Cord flower. There are so many things you can do with an I Cord. This is only one of them. You can use an I Cord for handles on a purse or bag. You can use it for all sorts of trim on garments. Try this out for some of your holiday gifts. You'll see how easy it is and want to make many of them.

Thanks to all of you who have become fans on my Face Book page. For those who haven't gone there yet here's where to go.

NEW FACE BOOK PAGE

I have a new Face Book Page. I just set it up, so there's not much on it yet, but I hope you will check it out and become a fan. I plan to post on it much the same as I do here on the blog, but I figure almost everyone is on, or will be on, Face Book so I might as well join the revolution. See you there.

It’s Knitting tips by Judy.

NEW FREE VIDEO- 2 color TRIANGLE

I've made a FREE VIDEO showing how I did the 2 color triangle stitch that I used in my Multi Stitch Baby Blanket. This stitch is very easy and fun to do. It can be used as a detail on a sweater or bag and I'm sure you've seen, or even made, washcloths done with this stitch. You could even do a whole scarf or blanket using this stitch in different color combinations. Ohhh, good idea. I just thought of it! I hope you'll try it and let me know what you do with it.
Happy knitting!

BROWN SHEEP LAMB'S PRIDE YARN

Many of you have written to ask me what is the red yarn I often use in my video demonstrations. It's Brown Sheep Lamb's Pride Worsted and I LOVE IT! I went through my stash and found a few skeins that I decided since I live in California and don't use that much wool I could part with. They are listed on Ravelry. I'm Judytopaz there. The photo doesn't show the colors real well, but they are Midnight Green, Lemon Drop, Aubergine, Sunset Gold,Blue Magic and Bulldog Blue. If you're interested I'm selling them for $6 each. You can get one or all of them. Check out my Ravelry page. I have lots of yarn for sale. e-mail me with any questions about any of them.
Happy knitting!

STOCKINETTE STITCH

Somehow I forgot to put the STOCKINETTE STITCH VIDEO on Youtube. It's on the web-site,
but now you can check it out on Youtube too. STOCKINETTE STITCH is the most common stitch in knitting. It's simply knit one row, turn the work and purl back the next row. It is NOT GOOD for scarves though because it always rolls into itself. Try other stitches that are the same on both sides for scarves. Look at all the different stitch videos I have for ideas.
Happy Knitting!
